About Heather Ferreira NP
Heather Ferreira, FNP-C earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Rhode Island in Kingston, Rhode Island. She continued her education and obtained her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Frontier Nursing University in Hyden, Kentucky.
She began her career at Southcoast Health as a registered nurse, where years of hands-on patient care strengthened her belief in the importance of prevention, education, and long-term wellness. This experience inspired her to advance her training and pursue her certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Heather’s philosophy of care is rooted in compassion, respect, trust, and the delivery of personalized care. She believes in forming lifelong relationships with individuals and families, supporting both their physical and emotional wellbeing throughout each stage of life. Her approach emphasizes continuity, open communication, and empowering patients to actively participate in their health.
She values the opportunity to care for patients of all ages and to help them establish long-term habits that support a healthier future.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors, staying active, reading, and being with her husband and three children.
