Rita Vieira, NP graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Simmons College in Boston, MA. She then went on to further her medical expertise, earning her Post Graduate Certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Master of Science in Nursing degree, also from Simmons College.
Rita’s personal philosophy of care is centered around providing evidence-based care, while promoting excellent patient care and improved quality of life. She strives to practice medicine that is individualized, compassionate, and evidence based.
When not at work, Rita enjoys reading, completing puzzles, and watching game shows.

The nurse practitioner, Rita, was really good. She was patient. She explained everything. She had answers for my questions. She was knowledgeable about my health. The things that she didn't know, she said she went to find out. Actually, I prefer the nurse practitioner to the doctor. Thanks.
I just wanted to say that Rita Vieira was probably one of the best physicians I've ever been to. She was very thorough, very caring, took her time, didn't make me feel like I was in a rush or she was in a rush. And I truly think she should be commended for that. And it was just probably one of the best experiences I've had at South Coast. So kudos to Rita and thank you.
So impressed with NP Rita Vieira, she remembered everything from my last visit with her a few months ago and even reached out pre-visit to check and see if my symptoms were similar. She took the time to look into any possible allergic reactions with my new prescription, and while she was busy and quick, she was not in a rush to leave and made sure to answer all my questions. Only my second time seeing Ms Vieira and I am so happy to have her on my health care team

I sent a message on Thursday evening and was called early Friday morning and had an appointment Friday afternoon. Everyone was polite and Rita really listened to my concerns. I am very happy with my care.
The provider was very prepared for the visit. It was clear she had done a thorough review of my record. She listened attentively to my concerns and discussed recommendations with me to ensure my goals were being met. I have always had excellent experiences in this office and this new-to-me provider was no exception.

Rita is one of the best providers I've ever had. She has a broad range approach where she uses her knowledge to evaluate my situation and incorporate all of my medication. I'm on a ton of medication, but Rita seems to make it very simple for me to understand and how to move forward as best I can, is no doubt the best provider I've ever had.

I think I am suffering with a kidney infection. I loved not having to go in but instead could speak to someone over the phone. I just needed a test and there is nothing the provider would have done differently in office, So I appreciate it because it's one less day I need to call out of work! I think we need to do more of these kind of appointments when applicable.
