Nicole Rico, FNP-C, earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Simmons University in Boston, Massachusetts.
She chose to focus on primary care as it allows her to form relationships with her patients while gaining extensive knowledge of a variety of illnesses and health concerns.
At work, Nicole prioritizes creating a safe and supportive environment for her patients, and encourages them to openly share their health concerns, without fear of judgement.
Giving back to the community is important to Nicole, and she feels that being a part of Southcoast Health allows her to do so.

Professional and knowledgeable
Nicole Rico listened, attentively, to myself-evaluation regarding my Diabetes and A1C results.She gave me options for further treatment as a result of the slight increase in my latest test results.Our discussion, today, was informative and satisfying. I departed with a renewed plan to deal with my Diabetes.A Good visit - thank you Nicole.

This was a follow up to a recent visit to the ER but no follow up to a GI doctor as recommended by ER. When home with no explanation of what my symptoms could be. Not a great experience
Explain everything, answer my questions,talked about my options.
Nicole is a very good listener and was able to reassure me that my medications were doing right by me. I was nervous after having Afib act up and at one point it seemed like it wasn't going to be regular at all! But everything is good and again Nicole was very reassuring. When I left, I felt so much better.
Nicole Rico was very compassionate and made helpful suggestions. She is very knowledgeable and set up a plan of carethat I feel will help me recover. I would feel confident in seeing her for any future health issues.
Always when I go to that provider, I have had a very good experience. They do everything well. But you said there was only a few questions at the beginning of this, whatever this is that I'm filling out, and that was not true. Have a good day. Bye-bye.
Nicole made me feel very comfortable when I was feeling a lot of anxiety and pain. She made me feel heard, answered all my questions and made sure I understood the care plan and if and when I should reach out with questions. I would recommend her to anyone.

I got a sick call appointment within 2 hours from calling and secondary X-rays performed soon after. All the staff were professional and easy to work with
