About Alexander Rabin MD
Dr. Alexander Rabin received his Doctor of Medicine from the Saint Petersburg Academy of Medicine and Pediatrics, formerly the Leningrad State Pediatric Medical Institute, located in Saint Petersburg, Russia. He furthered his medical education in the United States by completing an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the North Shore Medical Center in Salem, Massachusetts.
Dr. Rabin’s clinical interests include the medical management of excessive weight, prevention of regaining weight, and the comprehensive treatment of obesity related diseases as diabetes, hypertension, and sleep apnea.
His personal philosophy of care is that it should be patient-centered, and the focus should always be on treating the person with the disease. While practicing medicine, Dr. Rabin wants to ensure he provides excellent care to all his patients. He believes that being a doctor is more than just a profession, it is a state of a person’s soul.
Dr. Rabin is excited to join Southcoast Health’s Medical Weight loss program and looks forward to contributing his knowledge to patient care. He has certifications from the American Board of Obesity Medicine, American Board of Internal Medicine, and the Fellow of American College of Physicians.
When not at work, Dr. Rabin enjoys walking his dog on the beach, hiking, reading, and volunteering at an animal shelter.

I saw Dr. Rabin today and he had some concerns about my health, which was great to know. He is a doctor, I will go see in Wareham, rather than another doctor on the Cape cod, which is closer to me.

Your receptionist is very pleasant. I was taken on time for my appointment. Dr Rabin wears a big smile when he enters the room. We talk about my progress, exercise, any concerns I might have, any changes, etc.
Dr Rabin is great. He is a good listener and answers all my questions. I was disappointed to learn you are closing this office (Hyannis) in June and I am now going to have to travel an hour to see Dr Rabin.

Dr. Rabin was extremely knowledgeable. He knew my history. He knew recent tests that I'd had done and he was very quick to understand why I was there. So that was very important to me. And he listened to things that I said. So I'm extremely happy with his knowledge and expertise.
Shorter office wait time would be super helpful. Waited a half hour in the exam room yesterday, 45 minutes last time.

Dr Rabin is a great doctor. He is very knowledgeable and listens to me. This office is great , I never wait long to see the doctor and everyone in the office is pleasant.
Dr. Rabin is very knowledgeable about zepbound. He consults with me if I want to increase the dosage or stay until my weight plateaus. It will be longer than 90 days to see him next time. I could see other providers but I want HIM. He is a good listener and takes the time to explain what my goals should be.
