About Stacey Knox MD
Stacey Knox, MD earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. She then attended Marshall University School of Medicine where she completed her Master of Science in Biomedical Science with a specialization in Anatomy and furthered her degree to a Doctor of Medicine. She completed an internship in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Chicago and her residency at the University of Maryland.
She believes in treating each patient with dignity and compassion. Within her clinical specialty, she works hard to abide by the Golden Rule, treat each patient as you would like to be treated. She treats her patients with respect and considers being a woman a special superpower.
Dr. Knox’s style of care was greatly influenced by her relationship with a former patient during her treatment for ovarian cancer. Through this process she learned about the importance of forming a meaningful connection with each patient and that even a small gesture can have a large impact on her patients’ emotional wellbeing. She prides herself on patient care beyond their diagnosis.
Dr. Knox has had a relationship with Southcoast Health for over 20 years as a surgeon and Obstetrician at St. Luke’s Hospital. Due to her special interest in female anatomy, she is now focusing her practice on gynecology and pelvic surgery.
When not working, Dr. Knox enjoys riding horses and traveling the world with her family. She has combined her passion for travel and medicine, in the past, by volunteering in Rwanda working with a group of Urogynecologists to teach prevention and treatment of obstetrical fistulas.

Dr. Knox was extremely patient with me. I'm kind of a jabber talker and she was able to interpret what I was saying, which is a rarity. I appreciate her so much. She's a good doctor, very good doctor. She listens well.
Dr. Knox was very kind, and went out of her way to explain to me the procedure that I will be having, even going to get an example of the instrument that she would use for a show-and-tell. I felt comfortable in making an informed decision after visiting with her.

The experience was wonderful! ! The only problem was I had to wait a long time to get the first appointment due to the fact that the provider is well liked and very busy ! However I am happy I waited !!!

Dr Knox was great. Got me in the same day. Knew what was going on from the ED notes. Checked what was going on, explained what she was going to do and what was going to happen. She had a great bedside manner and was super knowledgeable.
Dr. Knox is very nice, friendly and made me feel at ease. We talked a little about as sport we have in common. Her examination was very gentle and we discussed the patch I am on, perhaps I will consider weaning off of it.

Stacy Knox, is such a professional doctor. She takes her time to listen to my health concerns. Answers all my questions and makes me feel like my voice matters. She is humble and extremely empathetic. I take her advice very serious because she takes her time explaining things to me.
Obgyn provider A LOT of info, answered all my questions and was gentle, quick. Nurse seemed down or sad. Polite but guarded. I hope you look out for each other. Check in and out and others were efficient.I need help with the MyChart and doc was not quiet sure how to.

I rated this a 10 bc of Dr Knox. The RN's have also been good. Unfortunately, the administrative staff at South Coast OBGYN needs improvement! I have messages in MyChart that were never responded to. I've been given inaccurate information by ppl in the front and frankly, their attitudes are all miserable in the front!

Caring staff
Everything was fine except the doctor was supposed to order medication for me and I didn't get it through my pharmacy. So I called back and they said someone was going to call me and I'm still waiting. But other than that, I liked her very much.
