About John Cava MD
Dr. Cava graduated cum laude at New York University before completing his medical degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry in Newark, N.J., with Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Society honors. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at New England Medical Center and a fellowship in Cardiology at Deaconess Hospital in Boston, via Harvard Medical School.
Formerly an interventional cardiologist, Dr. Cava has expertise in the areas of Nuclear Cardiology, Vascular medicine and Lipidology.
Dr. Cava is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
He is a clinical instructor or medicine at Brown University’s Warren Alpert Medical School.

We were never advised to arrive at our appointment ten minutes prior to our appointment time. We were one minute late and therefore had to wait about twenty minutes before we actually saw the doctor. Now we know so this doesn't happen again.

My family has been seeing Dr Cava for many years. Mom and dad loved him and he was always very thorough with them. After they passed due to heart disease I started seeing him. It's nice to have a Dr that knows my family history. Everyone from the front desk to scheduling and the PA are always friendly and helpful. I have recommended Dr Cava to many friends and family.
I went into the office and within 5 minutes I was called to be seen. The medical assistant was kind and knowledgeable. She did an EKG and within minutes the doctor came in. He is always up to dare with all my tests and I appreciate the way he explains the problems and treatment. I am highly satisfied with the care I get in this office.
As always, Dr. Cava and his team were professional, patient, and very helpful. Dr. Cava always explains things in an easy-to-follow understandable manner, including updates on new medications for possible treatment of my Cardiac Amyloidosis. He knows my history and always takes time to go over everything I need to continue to stay as healthy as I can be.

I was referred to Dr Cava from my PCP due to family history of heart disease.My appointment with him was informative and helpful.He listened to my concerns and then provided some additional guidance to improve my outcomes.He suggested a test to see my risks, explained the cost, and the appointment was booked shortly after the referral.Very enjoyable meeting him and the office staff.
John Cava seems to be a very serious health provider. He was thorough and went through all the areas of my heart health (scrolling through the computer). He always answers my question. I've had many tests at this facility. I feel that I'm in good hands.
It would be good if they had staff who spoke Spanish, but the people there are very friendly, thank you.
