About John Cava MD
Dr. Cava graduated cum laude at New York University before completing his medical degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry in Newark, N.J., with Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Society honors. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at New England Medical Center and a fellowship in Cardiology at Deaconess Hospital in Boston, via Harvard Medical School.
Formerly an interventional cardiologist, Dr. Cava has expertise in the areas of Nuclear Cardiology, Vascular medicine and Lipidology.
Dr. Cava is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
He is a clinical instructor or medicine at Brown University’s Warren Alpert Medical School.

Appointment ASAP. Less than 5 minute wait.Office staff very helpful and personable. After ekg, doctor came right in to examining room. Dr. came in smiling and asking how I was feeling. Explained situation and went over the tests to be given. Made sure I understood. Felt like he was on my side.

Quick diagnosis of AFIB might be caused by other factors which I wish could have been more explored. I do appreciate the doctors thoroughness.
As usual, Dr. John Cava, my cardiologist proved himself to be the most thorough, relatable and knowledgeable (about my medical history and condition) physician that I have treated with for many years.
