Our mission as the Southcoast Health Ambassadors is to render services to the hospital, its patients and its tax-exempt subsidiaries, and to assist Southcoast Health in promoting the health and welfare of the communities it serves.

Who are Southcoast Health Ambassadors?
Southcoast Health Ambassadors render services to the hospital, its patients and its tax-exempt subsidiaries, and to assist Southcoast Health in promoting the health and welfare of the communities it serves.
As a Southcoast Health Ambassador, you will serve as an ambassador to the community on behalf of your community hospitals. You will also participate in rewarding social and philanthropic events throughout the community such as:
- Distributing flowers and cards to extended stay patients during the holiday seasons and for special occasions.
- Awarding healthcare scholarships to local high school students.
- Directing hospital gift shops.
Ambassador Community Projects
Throughout the year the Ambassadors engage in a multitude of projects to support Southcoast Health patients and the community.
Ambassadors Birthday Program
Ambassadors bring joy to our inpatients that are hospitalized on their birthday by providing a small birthday celebration.
At Home White Rose Program
The Ambassadors gift white roses to families of patients who have lost a loved one.
Fidget Blankets
The Ambassadors distribute fidget blankets to inpatients to promote wellness and comfort.
Healing Gardens
The Ambassadors maintain and update healing gardens available to patients at all three hospital locations.
Holiday Cards
The Ambassadors give cards to inpatients throughout the different holiday seasons.
Holiday Poinsettia Program
Every inpatient receives a poinsettia plant to brighten up their holiday.
New Beginning Baby Baskets
The Ambassadors collect baby items from around the South Coast region to provide baskets in support of newborns born with opiate exposure, with the hopes of improving long term outcomes.
Southcoast Health Ambassadors Scholarships
The Ambassadors support local high school seniors pursuing a career in healthcare with $1500 scholarships. The scholarship committee will review each application, notify all students and interview the final candidates.
The 2026 Southcoast Health Ambassador Scholarship Application program period is now open through April 1, 2026.
