Este m\u00eas, o Dr. Peter Cohn, Chefe do Southcoast Health Heart &amp; Vascular, partilha orienta\u00e7\u00f5es sobre a sa\u00fade do cora\u00e7\u00e3o e como ajudar a manter o seu cora\u00e7\u00e3o a bater forte<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Compreender os riscos de doen\u00e7a card\u00edaca<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Embora as doen\u00e7as card\u00edacas afectem tanto os homens como as mulheres, os riscos e os sintomas podem apresentar-se de forma diferente. Compreender estes riscos e adotar h\u00e1bitos saud\u00e1veis para o cora\u00e7\u00e3o pode reduzir significativamente as probabilidades de ataques card\u00edacos e outras doen\u00e7as cardiovasculares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Riscos para os homens<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Em geral, os homens correm um risco mais elevado de contrair doen\u00e7as card\u00edacas numa idade mais precoce do que as mulheres. Os principais factores de risco incluem:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Tens\u00e3o arterial elevada e colesterol ou triglic\u00e9ridos elevados<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fumar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Diabetes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Obesidade<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Falta de atividade f\u00edsica<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>N\u00edveis elevados de stress<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hist\u00f3ria familiar de doen\u00e7a coron\u00e1ria<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Os sintomas de um ataque card\u00edaco nos homens incluem frequentemente dor intensa no peito, press\u00e3o ou sensa\u00e7\u00e3o de peso, bem como falta de ar e dor que irradia para o bra\u00e7o ou para o maxilar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Riscos para as mulheres<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As mulheres tendem a desenvolver doen\u00e7as card\u00edacas mais tarde na vida, frequentemente ap\u00f3s a menopausa, quando os n\u00edveis de estrog\u00e9nio diminuem. Em cardiologia dizemos: \"Tempo \u00e9 m\u00fasculo\". Quanto mais cedo pudermos intervir no cen\u00e1rio de um ataque card\u00edaco, mais m\u00fasculo card\u00edaco podemos salvar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dicas para ajudar a prevenir doen\u00e7as card\u00edacas<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sabia que cerca de 80 por cento dos casos de doen\u00e7a card\u00edaca podem ser evitados? Alguns passos simples hoje, como a dieta e as mudan\u00e7as de estilo de vida abaixo, podem levar a um cora\u00e7\u00e3o mais saud\u00e1vel amanh\u00e3. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Fazer uma dieta saud\u00e1vel para o cora\u00e7\u00e3o<\/strong>. Os alimentos com baixo teor de s\u00f3dio e gordura saturada s\u00e3o fundamentais para a preven\u00e7\u00e3o de doen\u00e7as card\u00edacas. Adicionar mais frutas, legumes e cereais integrais \u00e9 uma forma simples de colocar os seus h\u00e1bitos alimentares no caminho certo. Al\u00e9m disso, tente beber pelo menos 64 on\u00e7as de \u00e1gua todos os dias e evite alimentos e bebidas com adi\u00e7\u00e3o de a\u00e7\u00facar.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Manter-se ativo<\/strong>. O exerc\u00edcio regular fortalece os m\u00fasculos do cora\u00e7\u00e3o, o que melhora a capacidade do cora\u00e7\u00e3o de bombear sangue para todo o corpo. Recomenda-se apenas 150 minutos de atividade f\u00edsica por semana - como caminhadas r\u00e1pidas, ciclismo e treino de for\u00e7a. S\u00e3o apenas 30 minutos por dia, 5 dias por semana!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Manter um peso saud\u00e1vel<\/strong>. A obesidade ou o excesso de peso s\u00e3o prejudiciais para o cora\u00e7\u00e3o. Aumenta o risco de doen\u00e7a card\u00edaca, acidente vascular cerebral, colesterol elevado, tens\u00e3o arterial elevada e diabetes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Deixar de fumar e limitar o consumo de \u00e1lcool<\/strong>. Os qu\u00edmicos presentes no tabaco podem prejudicar o cora\u00e7\u00e3o e os vasos sangu\u00edneos de muitas formas. Podem fazer com que o sangue engrosse e forme co\u00e1gulos nas veias e art\u00e9rias, levando a ataques card\u00edacos. Minimize o consumo de \u00e1lcool, se for o caso - at\u00e9 uma bebida por dia para as mulheres e duas para os homens.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Fazer check-ups regulares<\/strong>. Monitorizar regularmente a tens\u00e3o arterial, o colesterol e os n\u00edveis de a\u00e7\u00facar no sangue. Discuta com o seu m\u00e9dico qualquer historial familiar de doen\u00e7a card\u00edaca e tome medidas preventivas, se necess\u00e1rio.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Gerir a diabetes.<\/strong> Ao longo do tempo, o a\u00e7\u00facar elevado no sangue pode danificar os vasos sangu\u00edneos e os nervos que controlam o cora\u00e7\u00e3o. Isto pode fazer com que os m\u00fasculos do cora\u00e7\u00e3o trabalhem demasiado, levando a uma press\u00e3o arterial elevada.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Controlar o stress e melhorar o sono<\/strong>. O stress, a falta de sono ou um sono de m\u00e1 qualidade podem contribuir para a hipertens\u00e3o arterial e sobrecarregar o cora\u00e7\u00e3o. Procure dormir 7-8 horas por noite e pratique formas de redu\u00e7\u00e3o do stress, como a medita\u00e7\u00e3o e o ioga.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A linha de fundo<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O seu cora\u00e7\u00e3o trabalha incansavelmente para si - retribua o favor tomando medidas proactivas para o proteger.
