Our staff of experienced, board certified&nbsp;emergency <a href=\"https:\/\/www.southcoast.org\/es\/doctors\/\">m\u00e9dicos<\/a>, advanced practice providers, nurses and staff are ready to serve you.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve designed our state-of-the-art emergency facilities to allow us to deliver the highest quality in emergency care to you and your family, creating an environment that is both safe and comfortable.&nbsp; At Southcoast Health, we are focused on meeting each and every one of our patient\u2019s emergency health needs, in the most efficient manner. That means that we have the tools, technology and processes in place to ensure your medical emergency is properly and efficiently&nbsp;addressed.&nbsp; We also provide 24\/7 access to interpreter and social work services to help us care for our patients and families in the community.<\/p>\n<p>If you would like to experience our \u201cpatient forward, patient first\u201d take on emergency care in southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island, come to one of our 24\/7 Emergency&nbsp;Departments at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.southcoast.org\/es\/locations\/hospitals\/st-lukes-hospital\/\">San Lucas<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.southcoast.org\/es\/locations\/hospitals\/charlton-memorial-hospital\/\">Monumento a Charlton<\/a> o <a href=\"https:\/\/www.southcoast.org\/es\/locations\/hospitals\/tobey-hospital\/\">Hospital de Tobey<\/a> when you need immediate,&nbsp;dependable care.<\/p>\n<h3>Servicio de Urgencias de St. Luke's<\/h3>\n<p>St. Luke\u2019s Hospital provides our community round-the-clock emergency care through our newly expanded&nbsp;emergency department in New Bedford, MA. Our ED sees more than 90,000 visits annually, and is relied on for 24\/7 ED care across the South Coast. The emergency physicians at these locations can consult remotely with the Boston Children&#8217;s physicians at any time. If a child arriving at Tobey or Charlton Memorial needs to be hospitalized, he or she may be transferred to St. Luke&#8217;s Hospital in New Bedford.<\/p>\n<p>Boston Children&#8217;s physicians at St. Luke&#8217;s Hospital are not only able to provide on-site care \u2014 they can consult with other Boston Children&#8217;s physicians and specialists. For example, a child&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.southcoast.org\/es\/services\/radiology\/\">im\u00e1genes radiol\u00f3gicas<\/a> and other medical documents can be sent electronically to Boston in the event that they need to be transferred to Boston. We can also bring Boston Children\u2019s ICU team \u2018into the room\u2019 to help manage the care of a critically ill child in the Emergency Department at St. Luke\u2019s with the help of a video robot.<\/p>\n<h3>Servicio de Urgencias del Charlton Memorial Hospital<\/h3>\n<p>Treating over 70,000 patients per year, CMH is the recognized regional leader in cardiovascular care, and provides the broad specialty coverage of a teaching center without the impersonality, chaos, and long wait times. Long relied upon by generations of Fall River families, and known as where local doctors bring their own family members when they are ill, Charlton also attracts patients from the surrounding communities in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island who value expert and compassionate urgent or Emergency care.<\/p>\n<h3>Servicio de Urgencias del Hospital Tobey<\/h3>\n<p>With the resources of a bigger city Emergency Department, and the friendliness and warmth of a small community hospital, Tobey offers the ideal destination for both urgent and emergency medical problems. Most of the over 30,000 patients treated can receive expert and definitive care right here, without the stress and inconvenience of leaving their community. For those few who require sub-specialty medical or surgical consultation, access to Southcoast\u2019s full range of specialists is always available either in-house, or by expedited priority transfer to nearby St. Luke\u2019s or Charlton campuses.<\/p>\n<p><em>Southcoast Health offers comprehensive emergency services to patients in Fall River, New Bedford, Wareham and across southeastern
