Permite al m\u00e9dico tomar una imagen -un angiograma- de los vasos sangu\u00edneos para detectar anomal\u00edas en el flujo sangu\u00edneo y otros problemas. <\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Angiograf\u00eda por TC frente a angiograf\u00eda por cat\u00e9ter<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Existen dos tipos b\u00e1sicos de angiograf\u00eda: <\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Angiograf\u00eda no invasiva<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> utiliza <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.southcoast.org\/es\/services\/radiology\/ultrasound\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">ecograf\u00eda<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.southcoast.org\/es\/services\/radiology\/computed-tomography-ct-cat-scan\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">CT<\/span><\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">o <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.southcoast.org\/es\/services\/radiology\/magnetic-resonance-imaging-mri\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">IRM<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> para realizar el angiograma. En algunos casos, tambi\u00e9n se le administrar\u00e1 un medio de contraste. El tipo de profesional que le realice la prueba variar\u00e1 en funci\u00f3n del motivo por el que la necesite. Un tecn\u00f3logo suele realizar ecograf\u00edas, TAC y resonancias magn\u00e9ticas, mientras que los m\u00e9dicos llevan a cabo los procedimientos con cat\u00e9ter.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Angiograf\u00eda por cat\u00e9ter<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> consiste en introducir un cat\u00e9ter en un vaso sangu\u00edneo de la ingle o el codo. El m\u00e9dico gu\u00eda el cable hasta la zona y utiliza un medio de contraste y una radiograf\u00eda para realizar el angiograma. El medio de contraste hace que los vasos sangu\u00edneos aparezcan en la radiograf\u00eda.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00bfCu\u00e1ndo realizar una angiograf\u00eda?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Su m\u00e9dico puede recomendarle una angiograf\u00eda en Massachusetts o en las zonas circundantes de Rhode Island para diagnosticar o tratar lo siguiente:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Aneurismas, vasos sangu\u00edneos dilatados o abultados<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Enfermedad a\u00f3rtica, como estenosis a\u00f3rtica o aneurisma a\u00f3rtico<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Aterosclerosis (endurecimiento de las arterias)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Co\u00e1gulos sangu\u00edneos<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Malformaciones vasculares<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Enfermedad de la arteria car\u00f3tida, un estrechamiento de las arterias del cuello.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Enfermedad arterial coronaria, com\u00fanmente llamada cardiopat\u00eda<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Isquemia de la arteria mesent\u00e9rica, disminuci\u00f3n del flujo sangu\u00edneo a trav\u00e9s de las arterias que irrigan los intestinos.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Enfermedad vascular perif\u00e9rica<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Estenosis de la arteria renal, un estrechamiento de las arterias que irrigan los ri\u00f1ones.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.southcoast.org\/es\/services\/neurology-stroke-neurosciences\/stroke-care\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ictus<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> y AIT (ataques isqu\u00e9micos transitorios)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Tiempo de recuperaci\u00f3n de la angiograf\u00eda<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">En el caso de la angiograf\u00eda no invasiva, normalmente puede irse a casa inmediatamente despu\u00e9s de la intervenci\u00f3n y reanudar sus actividades normales. En el caso de la angiograf\u00eda con cat\u00e9ter, deber\u00e1 permanecer ingresado unas seis horas despu\u00e9s de la intervenci\u00f3n. Deber\u00e1 mantener el brazo o la pierna estirados durante este tiempo. Esto ayuda a controlar la hemorragia en el lugar de la incisi\u00f3n del cat\u00e9ter.
