Posteriormente se doctor\u00f3 en Medicina por el New York Medical College.  Adem\u00e1s de su experiencia m\u00e9dica, el Dr. Skeehan complet\u00f3 una residencia en Cirug\u00eda Ortop\u00e9dica en el Centro M\u00e9dico Naval de Portsmouth antes de su servicio naval como cirujano ortop\u00e9dico.  M\u00e1s recientemente, el Dr. Skeehan complet\u00f3 una beca en reconstrucci\u00f3n de adultos en el Hospital Ortop\u00e9dico Langone de la Universidad de Nueva York y el Instituto Insall Scott Kelly.  Sus intereses cl\u00ednicos se centran en la reconstrucci\u00f3n primaria y de revisi\u00f3n de cadera y rodilla y en la medicina deportiva de cadera y rodilla.\n<\/p>\n<p>Sus padres, ambos m\u00e9dicos, inspiraron al Dr. Skeehan para ser m\u00e9dico. Eligi\u00f3 la cirug\u00eda ortop\u00e9dica despu\u00e9s de su experiencia personal con los cirujanos ortop\u00e9dicos que le proporcionaron atenci\u00f3n cuando se lesion\u00f3 como lanzador de martillo en la universidad.
