Judy L. Jang, MD, obtained her Doctor of Medicine from The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in Providence, RI. Dr. Jang completed her residency in internal medicine and her fellowship in nephrology at the Washington University School of Medicine\/Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. Her clinical interests include chronic kidney disease, hypertension, acute kidney injury and dialysis care \u2013 including home dialysis modalities.<\/p>\n

She was inspired to pursue medicine by her father, a physician in the small town where she grew up. Watching him build lasting relationships with patients sparked her interest in medicine, and she chose nephrology for its emphasis on continuity of care and long-term patient connections.<\/p>\n

Dr. Jang believes great care begins with listening. She emphasizes open communication and shared decision-making, so patients feel informed and supported in their care. <\/p>\n

Outside of clinical care, Dr. Jang serves as Associate Dean of Medicine for the Program in Liberal Medical Education at Brown University. In this role, she mentors and supports undergraduate students as they navigate their educational journeys toward careers in medicine.<\/p>\n
