About Syeda Sayeed

Dr. Sayeed earned her medical degree at Dow Medical University in Karachi, Pakistan. From there, she completed her residency at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island/ Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Brown University and enjoys teaching medical students.

Dr.Sayeed completed her Rheumatology at University of Vermont. She has more than a decade of diverse experience. She is board certified in internal medicine, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Certification in Rheumatology (RhMSUS).

She has authored and co-authored multiple publications and book chapters. Her area of interest is general Rheumatology.

  • Dr. and staff are the best of the best

  • MD very thorough. Staff and MD made me very comfortable on my first visit with them

  • Provider was clear, friendly, courteous and very clear in her explanations. I would gladly return if the need arises.

  • I was disappointed with the amount of time I waited, after my appointed time, before I saw anyone in the provider's office. My time is valuable to me and I have a policy when I have an appointment anywhere, healthcare professional or not, I wait 30 minutes after my appointment time. If I have not been seen by that time I leave and do not make a follow-up appointment with that office.

  • My appointment was for 11:20, but I didn't see the doctor until 12:00.Parking was difficult to find, and I had to park a block away.

  • I think the provider should spend more than ten minutes with a patient. It should be increased to at least 20 to 30 minutes. Especially if the patients have a lot of medical issues.

  • I felt a little rushed. Dr. was late and I was there 20 minutes early...they said 15 minutes early. My appointment was at 8:40 and I waited about 30 minutes. I wasn’t with her for 10 minutes. I am not upset and this wouldn’t stop me from using this group.

  • Dr was very knowledgeable and courteous. She listened carefully to my concerns and explained the plan of treatment very well.

  • Dr Sayers was do kind and engaged in my issue. She took extra steps to ensure we were looking at the real issue. And the MRU was initially read incorrectly, so her efforts were so helpful to planning my care! I?m very impressed with her commitment to my care

  • Unfortunately I felt rushed through the appointment. The doctor did not spend much time with me discussing what tests were going to be done. I am also upset that I was told Ineed to call to get my test results in one week!!! This is not good health care! Not a great experience at all!

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Helpfulness of Clerks & Receptionists, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
