About Syeda Sayeed

Dr. Sayeed earned her medical degree at Dow Medical University in Karachi, Pakistan. From there, she completed her residency at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island/ Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Brown University and enjoys teaching medical students.

Dr.Sayeed completed her Rheumatology at University of Vermont. She has more than a decade of diverse experience. She is board certified in internal medicine, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Certification in Rheumatology (RhMSUS).

She has authored and co-authored multiple publications and book chapters. Her area of interest is general Rheumatology.

  • Tough to understand and made it seem she had to rush through televideo. We were left in the air about a prescription and had to call back for more information. Her staff didn't seem to know much about the prescription either. Had to go on line and read about it.

  • The doctor was unprepared for my visit. She didn't know why I was there. I felt like she was rushing the visit. I had to really dig to get information out of her. I felt like she really didn't care to much. The visit was all of 10 -15 minutes. I still will follow up with her for an in person visit but if I feel the same way I will look for a better doctor.

  • The wait time in this office is the longest I have ever had, for this visit it was about 45 minutes. If I didn't have to wait so long to be seen, that would make it better.

  • It was a tell a health visit , the Doctor was very nice and listened to me.

  • Due to the virus, Dr. Syeed called on the phone and we were able to do the visit this way... I think it went well considering the situation we all face with Covid 19. Being a senior, I take the risk seriously and have avoided most contact with people who don’t practice using face masks or social distancing. My family are the only contacts I have for now!

  • I liked the 1 to 1 talking with the doctor. I could see her and she could see me through the telephone, and it was a very clear connection. She called right on time. She gave me feedback about my health and what our future plans are. So it's the same thing as if I had gone into the office. I got ... I feel like I got the same amount of care and attention. So it all worked out fine.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
