  • Rating based on first visit with this NP. I appreciated the time she spent trying to look up a bit on my recent history with specialist and other physicians though needed to discuss actual issue versus Med note. Appreciated her answering vaccine questions related to my medical care. Exam quick probably from time of discussion. Grease or fix the height measurement tool at scale, it hard slapped/dropped down on my head. Assistance said, "It just does that sometimes."

  • Everyone was very pleasant and kind. They made me feel comfortable when I wasn't feeling comfortable. My best appointment yet!! There was no negativity which was a refreshing change

  • Was a scheduled routine physical until changed to telehealth the afternoon before. Sadly , at 8:00 am, there are too many ears around to speak candidly about things one could normally talk about in the privacy of an office. Also, you can't see the patient ( in my case a small leftover wound that is unsightly but not bothersome) ( I did not bring it up)

  • My visit was with the NP Shannon. She was very informative and went the extra mile to help with the next step in my treatment. She was very professional and listened to me.

  • Hi Shannon, Avery Desmarais was very thorough and the office was very accommodating and giving me an appointment in a short notice because I had a concern and it wasn't something that could have been discussed on tele health because I needed to have a doctor probe a certain area of my body. That was $10. Shannon was very sorrow Pleasant Palazzo knowledgeable, and it's a pleasure to go into the office and have either her or Dr. Laxer. Take care of my medical needs. There both thorough knowledgeable and pleasant. Thank you.

  • I was scheduled for my annual exam on 9/172020 at 8:45. A week before, I was called and informed that my appointment would be a telehealth visit. On the 17th, I was called an hour before my scheduled call to tell me that Dr. [Name] was out, and my appointment would need to be rescheduled. I was given the option to have a telehealth call with the nurse practitioner later in the day, which I did at 4:30.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
