At Southcoast Health, we strive to deliver exceptional patient care along with an exceptional patient experience. We appreciate all of your feedback and share your comments to recognize the wonderful care our teams provide to you as well as identify areas for improvement.

  • Good job and good team

  • I would have liked more specific advice about managing my pain moving forward.

  • He took his time with me and felt he real listened to my issues.

  • Very informative

  • Doctor saw me in a timely fashion. However, continuously used verbiage and terminology that, I didn't know. And did nothing to calm my fears, only intensified them.

  • Some Drs just think they know whats best for you even when you don't agree, I just feel like the treatment he wants me to do is NOT what I would like, but it doesn't seem to matter, hes going to do what HE wants me to do, whether I agree with it or not, and that I REALLY have a problem with, but I don't know how to address it with him

  • Check in and check out were great. Everything was done in a timely manner. I'm not sure if all of my questions and concerns were addressed to my satisfaction?

  • The appointment and visit went very well with this provider. It was my first time seeing this provider. Office staff were polite and professional.

  • Told me that they would set up referral to Pain Specialist but I HAVE NOT been contacted by either Neuro Office staff or Pain Management office staff with any info or appointments! If it was going to be awhile before I'd hear about any appointment, then that should have been explained to me. I'm really not very with Southcoast Hospitals physicians responses to patients needs and requests! Might be time to find other providers that do respond to their patients needs in a more timely manner.

  • Phoning from parking lot did not work well

  • Dr Weil was extremely thorough. He explained my scans to me and even sent me a copy in my chart. He answered all of my questions and took his time with me to make sure I understood everything and all of my health options. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a neurosurgeon.

  • Don't have patients waiting 20,30 minutes or more after in examine room.

  • Little wait. Good safety in office. MD listened and seemed thorough I left with a follow up plan

  • Nothing....Very impressed with care I received.

  • The doctor did not have access to the MRIs that were previously done (1 week prior) Evidently the MRIs were not put into the south coast system on a timely manner for my appointment. The Dr. must have located the MRIs sinceI received a call from Dr.Wail a couple of hours after the visit explaining the options to treatments after his analysis.

  • Dr Weil was extremely accommodating to my needs and knowledgeable in the field.

  • Dr listened. Took his time with me to understand my issues.

  • The provider probably shouldn't be seeing patients post call and he was very tired and very distracted. Thank you.

Southcoast Health physician profiles now feature star ratings.  Below, you’ll find frequently asked questions about our process for calculating the ratings.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
