About Osman Faheem
Osman Faheem, MD earned his medical degree at Aga Khan University Medical College in Pakistan. He then completed his residency at the University of Connecticut in Farmington, CT. Prior to coming to Southcoast, Dr. Faheem completed Structural Heart, Coronary and Peripheral Interventional Cardiology fellowships at Yale University in New Haven, CT; eventually becoming the Chief Cardiology Fellow at Bridgeport Hospital. His clinical interests include interventional cardiology, complex coronary disease, and valvular heart disease. Dr. Faheem’s primary specialty is interventional cardiology.
Dr. Faheem’s personal philosophy of care is to establish relationships with his patients and guide them to make the best healthcare decisions for themselves. He enjoys the opportunity to improve his patients’ quality of life and longevity through his work in cardiology. His patient-centered approach extends to his volunteer work of developing healthcare systems in underdeveloped countries.
Dr. Faheem is board certified in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular Diseases, Echocardiography, and Nuclear Cardiology. He is a reviewer for nearly a dozen medical journals, including the American Journal of Cardiology.
In his free time, Dr. Faheem enjoys hiking, travel, and riding motorbikes. He also describes himself as an amateur photographer.
