  • u00A0All good

  • Dr. Carney has excellent listening skills. She is attentive, asks questions and has a sense of humor. Highly recommend!

  • Spent a good long time/ never seemed rushed or pre-occupied

  • The visit was very informative and helpful.

  • The provider was very good at listening. I didn't feel rushed at all, she took time and was very thorough, and she had a lot of information that she was willing to share that made me feel so she was well-informed and that she was interested in helping me get whatever I needed to improve my health.

  • Dr Carney is a thoughtful and patient practitioner. She provide reliable guidance and answered all my questions.

  • Dr carney is wonderful she always takes the time to explain things about my health and how my body functions.

  • I have no suggestions. Everything was fine.

  • there was a long wait once I got into the room to be seen.

  • Dr. Carney took the time to actually listen and provide advice. This is becoming all too rare. She is a gem!

  • My experience was that everyone there was a very professional. The bad part was I had to sit in the room for over half hour, waiting for the doctor to see me.

  • I would of been nice if the dr came in on time. She was 25 mins late but she did say sorry she was running behind. It was my first time seeing this Dr and she was great. Explained a lot of things to me when I didn't quite understand. We made a plan for my mental health. Over all I really like her.

  • Unfortunately i did not get to speak to the Dr. that day because she got tied up and ran a hour late. She did attempt to do the call later that day, but i could not and i will reschedule asap.

  • What they did well was they treated me courteously. My appointment was timely. My doctor was understanding. The nurses were kind when they took my blood pressure and they could not look at my medical records, but they did have me sign the forms as I am a new patient. So they got a little mark on that but that really wasn't their fault. That's it. Thank you.

  • The office was very accommodating. Also took into consideration that I had some active cough symptoms, so taking other patients into consideration and I waited in the car until they had a room set up and then the doctor was extremely thorough taking notesm asking lots of questions and it was very pleasant experience.

  • Very pleasant doctor and office staff.

  • It would be nice to not wait as long as I did (about 25 minutes) to see my physician.

  • A bit less waiting time

  • Dr. Carney is wonderful

  • I absolutely love Dr Carney, she takes her time and she listens to me! She is by far the best primary care doctor I have ever had. I totally trust her and feel my health is a priority when I see her. And most importantly she took my health seriously when I had a mass in my abdomen, and got me an appt with a surgeon in days which I will be forever grateful as I ended up having surgery to have it removed and it went well. Thank you Dr Carney!!!

  • Quick and easy appointment. Good thorough exam. Nothing to add .

  • I was stuck waiting for over an hour, for an appointment I was only supposed to last 15 minutes.

  • Always an enjoyable and informative visit.

  • I always get the best care from Westport Family Medical.

  • Long wait but good care.

  • Spent un rushed time with me.

  • All staff very nice and friendly. Dr Carney explained everything in a way that made sense

  • Dr Nancy Carney is thorough during visits in discussing ways to improve my health. I feel comfortable with her as my primary care physician.

  • Excellent experience , knowledgeable and listened to my concerns

  • This establishment visit was a waste of time and one of my sick days. I was made to feel inadequate due to certain circumstances and I also did not appreciate the pushy behavior of the provider for me to get the booster. I have the first two vaccines; I am an adult and get to decide whether I want a booster shot or not. I left this appointment frustrated with the only hopes that the nurse practioner might be the better option.

  • Not too long a wait- I got there early. Not crowdedu00A0

  • First time there I was very satisfied with my visit

  • Office visit was great but your phone service to call is rediculus on hold for over half an hour then they hang up I was on hold for over three hours with your call center

  • Helped me keep/reschedule my appt. when initial appt. was canceled due to my COVID exposure.

  • Helped me with all problems

  • The appointment went well, staff and provider were great, explained everything they were doing, I have no complaints.

  • The fact that i had to wait 5 weeks for an appt. Left work arrived 10 mins before appt. 30 mins after my appt time nurse comes out to tell me dr is running 1.5 hrs behind. I had to leave as i could not wait had to get back to work. I asked why i had not been contacted earlier to arrive later, was told not their job. I don't understand why you think my time is not as important as the drs? Epic fail. Then to havecthe dr not listen to me and mmmhmmm me to death

  • Everyone was pleasant and professional!

  • Had to wait almost an hour before I was seen. No one told me the Dr was running late. Luckily, I had the day off. Not how I intended to spend it.

  • I love how thoroughly Dr. Carney explains things to me.

  • Long wait to see Dr.

  • The experience was good for me.

  • Highly knowledgeable

  • Great conversation with Dr.CARNEY.

  • I went for a physical and didn't get any blood work done. To me that's a very important part of the physical. When I asked why it wasn't done I was told because I didn't have my records and was given a form to fill out to get them myself. I assumed that the provider would get my signature to release the records and request them through the office, not put it on me.

  • I thought that the Westport Facility...all the people there were very kind and friendly and thoughtful, asked questions about how I was doing. I think Nancy Carney is...Dr. Nancy Carnie is a wonderful practitioner, very thoughtful, explained the course of medication is required, and helpful, and I just find her to be an effective practitioner, and I'm just very fortunate to have her.

  • This was my initial visit and I felt extremely comfortable. Staff was great and Dr Carney was Excellent.

  • My doctor is easy to talk to and seems to really care about my health!

  • The wait time was a little long but they kept me up to date to what was happening.

  • The office got me in to see Dr. Carney right away when had extreme back pain. She was excellent. She took her time and didn't rush me. She diagnosed me, prescribed more meds and gave me a referral for PT.

  • Dr. Carney was excellent during the first time session. She was extremely well informed and knowledgeable as well as pleasant. Entire session = A+

  • I was pleased with the physician's patience when listening to my concerns.

  • It took months to get an appointment with a new primary care provider. This last visit was the only appointment available. This is NOT acceptable

  • Everyone in the office was great except the doctor. She was abrasive, curt, and acted like I was wasting her time there somehow. I am so fortunate that I have my next appointment with one of the RNs because I never want to see that doctor again.

  • I waited to long in the exam room to be seen by the Dr

  • Overall, it was a very professional experience, but I must say I did have to wait longer than. I think I should have. To get care. And see the doctor.

  • Doctor Carney takes her time. She never rushes and us very thorough.

  • Dr. Carney makes me feel very comfortable. I always feel like I'm have her complete attention, at my appointments, and I think she really cares. I am very pleased with her, as a health provider. Thank you.

Southcoast Health physician profiles now feature star ratings.  Below, you’ll find frequently asked questions about our process for calculating the ratings.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
