About Nancy Carney

Dr. Carney earned her bachelor’s degree at Wellesley College before completing her medical degree at Brown University. She completed a residency in Family Practice at Memorial Hospital through the Warren Alpert School of Medicine.

Dr. Carney began her career as an Emergency Physician at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Woonsocket, R.I. before entering into private practice. Before joining Southcoast Health, she had been the lead physician in practice at Warrensburg Health Center in Warrensburg, N.Y. and was part of the medical staff at Glens Fall Hospital in Glens Falls, N.Y.
Her professional interests include women’s health and performing colposcopies and endometrial biopsies.

As for Dr. Carney, she is by far the worst medical provider I have ever met. I would not recommend her to anyone. She completely wasted my time and did not help me one bit.

  • The wait to be seen by Dr carney is way to long.

Only thing that made me uncomfortable is this provider was really trying to get me to get the flu shot and I have my reasons for not getting one, which I explained, but this provider was still trying to convince me to get one. Other than that the whole experience was great!!! :)

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Helpfulness of Clerks & Receptionists, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
