About Michael Pepi

Dr. Pepi completed his Medical Degree at St. George’s University School of Medicine, Grenada, West Indies. He then completed his residency for Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mount Sinai Hospital in Hartford, CT.

He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in Providence, RI. Dr. Pepi has been published in the Journal of Gynecologic Surgery and is currently a member of the Fellow American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Rhode Island Medical Societies.

When not at work, Dr. Pepi enjoys fishing and skiing.

    Dr. Pepi had one of the worst bedside manners I have ever experienced. He did not listen to my needs. He didn't prescribe me meds I desperately needed. Terrible experience.

    I was greeted by staff in a very professional way. They were friendly, they put me at ease, the same when I met the nurse. She explained everything and when she took a medical history, she was very accurate about everything and the doctor was excellent. Dr. Pepi, I just really appreciate how he explained everything to me and made me feel at ease. I felt comfortable and I really appreciate the office getting me in when they did and I'm very happy that I am now going there for my gynecological needs. Thank you.

    Dr Pepi was rude, misinformed and very dismissive. None of my issues were addressed and to top it off, the birth control he recommended is not even available at CVS. Horrible experience.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
