About Kristen McLoughlin

Kristen McLoughlin, MSN, FNP-BC earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at the MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston, MA. She furthered her education by completing a Master of Science degree in Nursing and earning the title of Family Nurse Practitioner, also at the MGH Institute of Health Professions. Her clinical interests include family practice and women’s health.

Kristen’s personal philosophy of care involves building meaningful relationships with her patients and their families. Her dedication for improving her patients’ quality of life is what allows her to serve the community with compassion as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Kristen brings a caring attitude to the patients of Southcoast Health as well as their families.

In her free time, Kristen enjoys the outdoors- whether she is running, skiing, boating, or going to the beach.

  • The mammogram technician was extremely friendly and made sure I was comfortable during the screening. Kristen McLaughlin, NP was great. Listened to my concerns and explained everything to me in clear terms and reassured me.The only thing that maybe could have been approved was that I waited about 5 minutes to check-in because the only person there was on the phone and then got up and walked away for a minute, then came back and made another phone call before checking me in. She did at least acknowledge me at first, but it seemed like a long wait, even though it was probably only 5 minutes. There was no one ahead of me checking in.

  • All staff and providers are so kind at the breast center. This was my third appt with this office and every time I have felt very comfortable. Appointments always seem to run on time and both times I have seen a provider I felt that they were taking their time and gave me detailed explanations about their assessments and next steps.

  • South Coast Breast Center has been awesome through my breast cancer. Dr. [Name] is the best. She is out right now and I have the pleasure to meet and have my check up with KRISTEN MCLOUGHLIN. Spent almost an hour with me and the person I brought with me, a second set of ears just going over everything to make sure I understood what was involved in the procedure. What would happen that day? And what would happen afterwards? I walked out feeling much lighter and much less stress than I had when I walked in. So, I would definitely give her high marks. It was, it was really, really thorough and very informative.

  • Very efficient office I was able to check in on my chart ! Waited about 5 minutes to see my provider!! Ver knowledgeable New NP Kristen knew my history and was up to speed on my history and had a plan of care established!!

  • The only complaint I have about the Breast Clinic is the way check in is handled. The receptionist asks for your information loudly enough that everyone in the waiting area can hear what is said

  • The clinical staff was excellent, the administrative staff upon checkout was terrible. I sat there waiting for 10 to 15 minutes, listening to the person talk about all their vacation plans. While I needed to check out and book my next appointments, I eventually ended up leaving without appointments. So I could get back to work because the person would not get off the phone on their personal phone call. That that really affected the the visit with the provider. Thank you.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
