About Jennifer Porter
Jennifer Porter began her healthcare career in 2006. She started as a registered nurse in the emergency department, where she worked at Morton Hospital and Tobey Hospital for nine years. In 2015, she went to work at St. Luke’s Hospital in the Surgery Department as a registered nurse. Jennifer has also worked as a substitute school nurse and as a certified mobile research nurse. With a life-long personal and emotional connection to the world of medicine, Jennifer returned to school to become a Family Nurse Practitioner to be able to provide care for her fellow neighbors and community members.
Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Dartmouth in Dartmouth, MA, and a MBA with a Concentration in Healthcare Management from Providence College in Providence, RI. She then earned her Master of Science Degree in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner, at Regis College in Weston, MA. Her clinical interests include Family Practice and Adult Internal Medicine.
Jennifer believes in building a partnership with her patients and strives to develop an open and trusting relationship. She encourages her patients to ask questions so they can understand their conditions, medications, and test results.
Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family and traveling as much as possible. She also likes to run with her dog, ski, hike, garden, and has a passion for photography.
