About Emily Weibel

Emily Weibel graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Rhode Island College in Providence, RI. She then furthered her medical expertise, earning her Master of Science degree in nursing from Spring Harbor University in Spring Arbor, MI. Emily is board certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and her clinical interests include diabetes, nutrition and functional medicine, and women’s health. In addition, Emily is an active member of the United States Navy.

Emily’s personal philosophy of care is centered around creating a holistic approach towards health for each individual, and to help patients set goals for themselves while creating a realistic path to wellness. Emily takes pride in listening to the needs of each patient, and it is her hope to help them achieve what is important to them in their health journey, as well educating them on how to obtain optimum health.

When not at work Emily enjoys yoga, going to the beach, traveling, being outdoors, and spending time with her husband and two daughters.

The only negative about this provider is that they do not accept many insurance types and the rest of my family is unable to see this practitioner.

  • As always, when I use the mychart app to initiate a health care issue, it was answered quickly and professionally. Once the requirements for the issue were understood, the Appointment and telehealth session were quickly and professionally arranged. The required prescription was sent quickly and the issue resolved to my total satisfaction.

  • Have been to this office before multiple times and have always had excellent care. However, this particular NP was not personable at all. She spent limited time reviewing my concerns, care, or questions.

  • When I called for a follow up on the 28th, the women who answered was very rude. She said that the nurse would call me back. I waited from 10:30 to 2:00 and no callback. I called back, explained the situation, was given an attitude and was hung up on. I called again and then was told the message was not given to the nurse. I do not complain often but this was extremely unprofessional. If you are having people answer phone calls for a doctors office or any medical professional they need to be trained in customer service.

  • There was a mix up with my appt. date & time, they fit me in anyway so I wouldn't have to come back and still to time to listen to me at appt.

  • This is an excellent practice that takes the time to listen to their patients and makes sure any concerns are addressed.

  • Everyone here is especially wonderful we had some problems with my insurance coverage but they worked very hard to get it straightened out even called me on a Friday afternoon to let me know that they were able to get me in and squeeze me in that Monday.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
