About Emily Weibel

Emily Weibel graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Rhode Island College in Providence, RI. She then furthered her medical expertise, earning her Master of Science degree in nursing from Spring Harbor University in Spring Arbor, MI. Emily is board certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and her clinical interests include diabetes, nutrition and functional medicine, and women’s health. In addition, Emily is an active member of the United States Navy.

Emily’s personal philosophy of care is centered around creating a holistic approach towards health for each individual, and to help patients set goals for themselves while creating a realistic path to wellness. Emily takes pride in listening to the needs of each patient, and it is her hope to help them achieve what is important to them in their health journey, as well educating them on how to obtain optimum health.

When not at work Emily enjoys yoga, going to the beach, traveling, being outdoors, and spending time with her husband and two daughters.

  • This was my first appointment w/this provider. Emily was courteous and listened carefully to my concerns.

  • I appreciated that the front desk ladies got me in asap. However Emily gave me little info about my situation. When I asked questions I was given short responses. She said my situation might come back and left me feeling like more could have been done-or- more info come have been given. When asked for a note for my job I am 30 year old was not taken seriously. (Will be going back at some point to get a proper note from Jane or anyone else) Emily seemed to do her job, however, next time I will probably go to whom ever else is available.

This is my first visit to the Dr's today, and I did meet with Emily, the nurse practitioner, and she is a very warm, caring person, who's got a lot of experience, and I did appreciate the opportunity to meeting ... meeting with her. my very first visit, since I had to change locations since my two Drs had retired, and I forgot to call in time to schedule an appointment with a new physician at the Swansea office. I'm actually glad that I selected the Tiverton office, and I'm very pleased with their location, and the commitment of staff there.

  • Everyone was very nice, especially the front desk team (this was my first time and I was there for a new patient visit). Unfortunately I was waiting in the room for almost 30 mins after seeing the nurse and waiting for the provider. After 20 mins I did go back to the front desk and they were not aware I was waiting. I could overhear personal conservations between staff members in the hallway while I was waiting so definitely a disappointing experience. The provider did apologize at the end of my visit so I did appreciate that.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
