At Southcoast Health, we strive to deliver exceptional patient care along with an exceptional patient experience. We appreciate all of your feedback and share your comments to recognize the wonderful care our teams provide to you as well as identify areas for improvement.

  • Dr. Ishihara's office contacted me about checking in before the appointment and asked about what my concerns were so the provider was prepared to discuss my health issues.

  • Dr. Ishihara is very thorough and though it is my first visit she was looking for alternatives to help me on top of the care I get now.I have a feeling I have the right doctor for me.Dr.Ishihara seems very caring and not rushed at all.First impression tells me she is a top notch doctor very knowledgeable and covered a lot for first visit.

  • My provider took time to review my medical history. She also went over my medical history during the covid-19 pandemic. Her suggestions for my health were realistic and appreciated.

  • My dr.Ishahara was very helpful she knew and told me the things I had to bring her / drop off in order for me to get my license she is a great doctor and I hope that she understands I’ve been waiting 3 years for this and need the papper work filled out so u can get my license to move on in my career so that I have the means to support my family and not struggle as much

  • Dr Ishahara is awesome! The check out receptionist was good. The girl that checked me in from the hallway because of COVID could have been a little better. She was a little gruff. Felt the tech moved alittle fast. I’m sure it’s the get them in get them out mentality that is taught throughout medical. Dr Ishahara never seemed to rush. I would recommend her.

  • Dr. Ishihara strikes me as a caring and empathetic doctor. She offered me useful advice and listened attentively to my concerns.

  • I had to rebook my physical 3 x for COVID reasons. Otherwise??

  • Dr. Ishihara was wonderful- engaged and interested in my overall goals related to my health and well-being. I am so happy to be a patient of Dr. Ishihara and the Southcoast team- thank you!!!!

  • It was my first visit with this doctor so I think I would have liked to meet her but in these times it is understandable. She listened to what I had to say, which was appreciated, and is fixing the issues I would like to be fixed first. Nothing is better than in person, Be it a doctors visit or talking to a friend in person

  • Prompt and personal

  • So happy with my new PCP

  • Dr Ishihara listened carefully, provided ideas and feedback, next steps

  • The doctor was very efficient, but the office staff did not respond to my request to see the doctor earlier and if possible in the office. It seems that the doctor was not aware of this. Thank you.

  • What we did well was she was very concerned about my condition. However, when you have a sprained ankle or an injury such as that, it's pretty hard to really tell what's wrong over a Tele appointment. It's it's not the best way to do medicine.

  • Dr. Ishihara is great! She listened and had thoughtful solutions for my medical needs. Thrilled with my first visit!

  • Dr. Ishihara was wonderful - thorough, asked great questions, was a great listener and had some helpful suggestions. [Name] was very nice taking my medical history.

  • Dr. Emiko Ishahara is excellent! Kind, friendly and addressed all my needs. Thank you!

Southcoast Health physician profiles now feature star ratings.  Below, you’ll find frequently asked questions about our process for calculating the ratings.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
