About Daniel Miller

Dr. Miller earned his bachelor’s degree graduating summa cum laude from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He completed his medical degree at the University of New England, College of Osteopathic Medicine.  

Dr. Miller performed his residency training with a focus on community medicine at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Academy of HIV medicine.

Dr. Miller is an HIV medicine specialist and has skills pertaining to outpatient hepatitis C treatment and management.  He is also experienced in Suboxone and addiction medicine.

He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and a National Health Service Corps Scholar.

Dr. Miller is fluent in Spanish and most recently served as the Site Medical Director for Community Health Center Inc. in Waterbury CT.

  • I understand why we have to do these appointments this way now,but there is nothing like the doctor one on one visit and even phone pic's aren't that accurate.I hope this is not going to be the" new norm". In my case THIS time it worked out.But I do not think it would in every case.Also maybepeople do come in for more worse illnesses, I don't know that.Please don'tmisunderstand me,I like my DR.and staff, been with SOUTHCOAST a long time.THANK YOU for all your help.

  • Difficult to get through on phone. Hold time of 10 plus minutes. Had to make multiple calls to get lab results and on hold each time for 5 10 minutes

  • Hi, every time I've gone to your office. It's been very polite, very efficient. Your girls are great and you as a primary care are very understanding and I love South Coast I guess. That's about it. Other than your great. I don't want any other Primary Care. Thank you very much. Take care.

  • This was a telamedicine visit. I was impressed with the professionalism and decency of the staff that called me. I was more than impressed with Dr. Miller. He is caring, he listens, he knows what he's talking about. I couldn't ask for any one any better.

  • I lived there expediency of the televisit. There were a total of 5 calls involved with a complete time of 22 mins, with the first initial call lasting 11 & half mins due to being on hold. One call check to question and verify my symptoms again. One call was to verify all my personal information and insurance status. One call was to attempt to get vitals. The Dr was thorough & listened contently.

  • Sat in the room waiting for an hour. Started calling in the morning to try to get into see dr.miller and finally takes to someone at 3 pm! Was not happy with the outcome of the visit in the end. Thinking of changing to a different primary care.

  • Based what’s upon us right now, It’s very obvious that the facility is working on a skeleton crew. With no one waiting, I waited a half hour prior to being called in to see Dr Miller. Once I got in, everything was great. I was seen promptly and the intake nurse was very consoling and so was Dr Miller. He listened to my concerns and health goals and did not pressure me into new prescriptions in any way. With that said I feel that I made the right decision to switch primary care facilities and Dr. Thank you!!

  • I gave a lot of back round information to the MA who brought me in the room and she did not give it to the doctor... the front desk person basically reprimanded me for not arriving a half an hour early for my appointment. I told her the letter said 15 minutes and I arrived 10 minutes early.. the staff basically did not seem happy..

  • The only issue was that I completed the paperwork and mailed it in, but had to rewrite it all as they did not have it(?). I like Dr. Miller. I'm pleased overall.

  • The front desk was great because I didn't arrive by 15 minutes before and got there right on time and needed to do some paperwork, but she was very nice anyway and didn't make mention to it and she was courteous and then the nurse who came and got me at the door, introduced herself and told me her name which I thought was really nice and then I had a little chat with her before the doctor came in and she was personable and then Dr. Miller, I had never met him before and honestly, he was fantastic and I'm glad that he was the one that somebody chose for me to have as a PCP because I needed a new one due to my new insurance.   • This was a very good wellness check, Dr. Miller did a very through exam, stressed what I needed to do and why it was needed. All the staff at Rosebrook were helpful and got my exam over promptly. I actually enjoy going to the doctor and will use Rosebrook for all my medical needs Rosebrook provides.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
