Dr. Zambrano completed his medical degree at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he also earned a Masters if Biomedical Sciences. He completed his undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Science in Biology, at Lehigh University.
Dr. Zambrano completed a general surgery residency at the NYU/ Lutheran Medical Center, where he developed vast clinical and operative experience in a variety of surgical sub-specialties including in level I trauma center training. He recently completed a fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, which focused in adult cardiac care including bypass surgery (both on and off pump), complex valve, open aortic work, TAVR, heart failure/ECMO and lung/heart transplant. He also trained in VATS and robotic lung resections.
He has a special interest in double arterial revascularization.
Dr. Zambrano is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, American Osteopathic Association and the Society of Thoracic Surgeons.
