About Christina Bordeau

Christina Bordeau, DO, FACOI graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and pre-medical studies from Trinity College of Vermont in Burlington, VT. She then furthered her medical expertise by earning her doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, ME.

Dr. Bordeau completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown, NY, and then completed her clinical and academic Endocrinology fellowship at Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, NY.

Dr. Bordeau’s primary specialty is Endocrinology.

Her personal philosophy of care is centered around working together with her patients and their families, and to arrive at clinical care that is tailored to the patient’s individual situation. She enjoys educating her patients on medication choices, laboratory testing, results interpretation, and other clinical measures implemented to facilitate care. In addition, Dr. Bordeau takes the time to understand the individual situation of her patient, and with that in mind, develops a plan of care which is both understandable to the patient and their family, as well as targeted in addressing the underlying clinical problem and providing relief as expeditiously as possible.

Dr. Bordeau is a member of the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine.

In her free time, she enjoys numerous indoor and outdoor activities such as skiing, hiking, biking, traveling, the arts, and spending time with family and friends.

  • I love the way things were explained to me in a relatable way.

  • She was exceptional doctor. And because of my other health issues did not want to pump me full of more pills so we're trying to do things I'm more healthier way and that's something with her I appreciate and she knew about all my other health issues

She commiserated that I had long covid, and she is just wonderful. Yeah, I'm lucky to have her as my endocrinologist, and the other staff is great, and I was listening to the front desk, and they were solving a problem for a while with someone, a client that called, and I was impressed by how they were handling it, and very polite, and with patience. So, yeah, it's great, and I have to travel far to get there too. So, but I'd rather travel far to have a great doctor, so.

  • Dr. C. Bordeau always goes 'far beyond the call of duty' during my office visit. The Doctor is caring beyond imagination. She is extremely compassionate and generous with her time. I am so grateful, Dr Bordeau is my endocrinologist. I can't say enough positive adjectives in describing the Doctor.

This was my 1st visit with the doctor, she was very knowledgeable but there's a few things that I have to take care of like going to the dentist before we can proceed with anything else. So, that's why I wanted to say. Thank you.

  • Everybody there was very nice and they explained to me about things I had no clue about and they explained it enough because I'm 70 years old. They explained it enough so I would understand and they were just so awesome. I would I would recommend that place in a heartbeat. So thank you very much.

  • By looking up my medical tests and history ahead of time and asking specific questions about symptoms..I don't know If I'm asymptomatic unless I know what to look for! I feel a telehealth apt would have been more appropriate and less risky for covid. Also, why doesn't SouthCoast order bloodwork ahead of time, especially if the physicians state they have to do their "own" tests??.. The doctor was very pleasant, as well as her assistant.!   • Surprisingly the doctor's visit with the doctor was on time the only problem is you should have bet it directions to find your doctors offices in that building

  • Provider was cold and persisted on talking about the worst case scenario about my situation and how I need to be transferred to RI or to my previous doctor in Boston. She kept saying "this is not what I do". Also, I asked what her clinical opinion about my recent CT scan and she said she couldn't tell me and to just go back to my previous doctor because "this is serious". I'm glad she acknowledged her limitations, but I was a little surprised she was not able to formulate or express her opinion on a CT scan. First meeting I walked out crying (and I'm not a crier) because how much she persisted on the severity of my case and me having a potential reoccurrence of cancer. I had to tell her to not jump the gun and wait til we get CT scan results and biopsy completed before discussing sending me to another facility.

  • All of the technical information was very on point I just would suggest that the doctor look at the patient more often when speaking

  • Well locating the office once I got inside the building was a bit tricky , but once I was pointed n the right direction from a fellow patient, everything went great I truely felt like dr Bordeau was very helpful with all the info she gave me like the fact that the nodule in thyroid is super common an most times not an issue , which at that point I had never been told that , an after a non conclusive byopis of 6 needles I didn't even want to proceed with any further procedures , but she set me st ease gave me the run down on the correct steps I needed to take to better help dr [name]u00A0best give me an answer of how this issue should be dealt with , if at all. An I did really feel like she knew her stuff, which I haven'tu00A0 got that since from some of my care givers with south coast ,

  • Dr. Bordeau is very kind, caring, and professional. The Staff also is kind, caring, and professional. My appointment was at 2:p.m.. I was seen promptly at 2:p.m. I was also thanked by the Doctor for choosing her practice. Very Impressive Thank You

  • I thought my first visit was great and I did like the doctor very much. The only thing I was concerned about is that I did wait a rush to get there and then ended up not to wait about almost a half an hour for my appointment, but I was contest with the new offices and happy to be saying it with South Coast.

  • I would just like to say that this was my very first visit with Dr. Bordeau, so we haven't had an opportunity to get to know one another. I perhaps would have rated things higher or I will rate things higher in future visits after we get to know each other better.

  • The waiting room was comfortable with adequate distancing in the seating arrangements, there was a restroom nearby and both receptionists were friendly and accommodating … I was called in on time as well

  • The staff was very friendly and helpful. I did not feel the doctor did not take time to get to know me or seem interested in my goals for treatment. The provider did not take time to build a doctor/patient relationship.

  • This was an initial visit with Dr. Bordeau. She didn't have a lot of information about my medical history other that what I told her. I was pleased with the visit - she made a plan for future visits with a diabetes educator and a follow up visit with herself.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
