About Beatriz DeMoranville

Dr. DeMoranville received her medical degree from Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia in Lima, Peru. She completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at the State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate in Brooklyn, N.Y., where she also served as chief resident. She completed a fellowship in endocrinology and metabolism at Rhode Island Hospital/Brown University.

Prior to joining Southcoast Physicians Group, Dr. DeMoranville had a private practice as a consultant in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism in South Kingstown, R.I.

Her clinical interests include diabetes management, thyroid disease, osteoporosis and pituitary disorders.

Dr. DeMoranville is board certified in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism.

  • Dr. Demoranville was extremely nice and caring about my health problem.

  • I had to have some blood tests prior to my visit. I thought South Coast was very prepared for the Covid 19 aspects of my blood test appointment. The laboratory experience was attentive and efficient.

  • First, dealing with the front office staff for Dr. Demoranville was very receptive, very friendly, very professional, answered any of my questions or concerns for handing a telehealth visit. Then, when I was able to get the text, and then contact Dr. Demoranville, it went very well. She was very receptive to any questions I had. The video worked out very well, and she answered all my questions, and concerns that I came up with that day. She was also quite attentive to any of the reasons that I do visit with her, so I do appreciate it.

  • the visit was a TeleHealth visit. I had difficulty connecting due to my lack of technology knowledge. If TeleHealth is to continue, perhaps written instructions should be provided prior to the visit.

  • This was a telemedicine appointment. The video call audio was choppy and difficult to understand.

  • Virtual visit by phone with Dr Demoranville. She asked for vital data and all was provided except blood pressure (no means to measure). She also suggested lab work be performed as soon as "stay-at-home" statewide directives are rescinded. Perhaps a video element may have improved our experience.

  • I had a telephone conference with the doctor which of course is not her fault, but I didn't get to see her and she didn't get to see me and didn't seem to have any of my medications straight or really wasn't able to answer any of my questions and I I can see that it was the covid-19. But really I wouldn't do a telephone conference again. Thank you.

  • Considering the circumstances currently, This was as good as it could be. Televideo appointments will serve the purpose, but it will be good to get back to an actual doctor visit.

  • This was a video appt. Dr. D'Moranaville talked me through getting on line and then we had a great appt. I had to get a glucose meter and all that goes with it. Picked that up today and was told how to use it. I am a bit anxious about all this. Hopefully, I will do well. On Friday, I completed all blood work and urine test. I love my Doctor and will continue to see her even if it has to be on video!!!!

  • Due to the recent Pandemic my visit was changed to a telemedicine visit which was perfect. The office kept me updated and reached out to confirm my visit. I was called prior to my visit to go over my meds etc. My call with Dr Demoranville was very thorough and all my questions and concerns were wanderers as were hers. I would not hesitate to engage in another telemedicine visit as this was a positive experience with follow up as needed.   • Yes, the doctor was extremely attentive very, very, easy to talk to was was very open and really brighten to my day. The video chat was was wonderful being held up here. It's really it was it was a nice nice diversion, and I'm very, very, helpful to for my diabetic care.

  • I was very pleased with how prepared Dr. Demoranville was. She had reviewed my lab test, she remembered my history, even though she had only consulted last time with the nurse practitioner. She was very aware this time of all of the details from my previous visit. So that was most impressive many doctors are not that prepared. And as far as what you can do better, nothing for the doctor. Maybe with your Corona visit or Corona treatments you could put a line on the floor where we're supposed to stand because when you walk in the room and it's a big empty room, and I'm not you're not sure how close are supposed to get to the staff.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
