About Ana Raquel Pereira

Ana Raquel Pereira, NP, earned her Bachelors and Masters of Science in Nursing, with a degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner, from Simmons University. She started her nursing career in 2013 after graduating from Bristol Community College with an Associates in Nursing. Ana Raquel worked as a nurse from 2014 to 2019 at People Incorporated serving the developmentally disabled population while working towards her Nurse Practitioner degree.

She is Board Certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Her clinical interests include Managed Care, Women’s Health, Emergency Medicine and working with Developmentally Disabled individuals.   

She regularly attends yoga classes and enjoys spending time with her dogs, summers at the beach and traveling. 

Ana Raquel is fluent in Portuguese. She believes in developing a relationship with her patients so she can better understand their medical needs.

  • I was able to get an appointment as soon as I needed it and did not have to wait long to be seen.

  • My appointment was for 10 o'clock in the morning I was called at 9:45 to be checked in everything went smoothly but I never got a call from the doctor until 1130. The appointment with the doctor went well and the video quality was decent. However I was told I would receive a phone call By the front desk after my appointment to check out and to schedule my future appointments and I was never called by anybody. Their communication seems disconnected when using telehealth

  • Today I was heard. And helped, after struggling elsewhere for a week prior. Anna quickly came up with a plan for me and was super compassionate which I just happened to really need at the time. I would highly recommend her to anyone!

She made sure that I really knew what she was saying. She really checked it out. Very very well. She took blood work. She checked my lungs. She really did a very good job. I was very very impressed by her and I would recommend her to anybody.

However, it was over 6 hours from when I originally called the service in the morning until I got a call back and another 3 hours before I was able to pick up a prescription. I don't think that is a reasonable amount of time. That's it.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
