About Alexa Raymond

Alexa Raymond, MD is a graduate of the premedical program at Columbia University and received her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia. She interned at Overlook Hospital in Summit, N.J. and completed her residency at the Warren Alpert School of Medicine/brown University Family Medicine program in Providence.

Dr. Raymond is board certified in Family Practice and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Her clinical interests include women’s health, children and adolescent health, sports medicine, nutrition and preventive health.

She believes in being proactive with health and taking good care of one’s self through exercise and nutrition.

Dr. Raymond enjoys spending time with her three active children and dog. She also enjoys exercising, reading, cooking and going to the beach.

  • Doctor was running late today which she never does. I had scheduled another appointment for 3/4 of an hour after my medical appointment. I was only able to spend about five minutes with my healthcare provider. But in that five minutes she showed extreme concern for any problems I had had since the last time I have seen her. I don't see any of this as being her fault I see it as being short staffed.

  • This was a 6 minute phone call with the doctor. Not a video call, a phone call. It was also an hour late. I really like dr Raymond but do not like having to do a 6 min phone call and saying that’s a visit. I sincerely hope the price does not reflect the usual $210 as if it were a regular appt.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
