Region’s ‘Heart Hospital’ among first in world to perform new procedure
Southcoast Health is enrolling patients in new clinical trials to evaluate the use of a new heart ablation technology designed to treat atrial fibrillation.
“Atrial fibrillation is a serious and pervasive condition that can lead to stroke, which is often debilitating and even deadly,” said Dr. Dr. Peter Cohn, Physician-in-Chief of the Southcoast Cardiovascular Care Center. “We strive for Southcoast Health to be this region’s premiere destination for cardiovascular care and leading-edge technology.”
