Experience and expertise are the hallmark of our wound care team.
Many of our physicians have long experience treating patients in the South Coast region, and have established close working relationships with area physicians and patients.
They also bring extensive expertise in surgical and medical treatment of patients with hard to heal wounds.
Gerald Monchik, MD, Medical Director

He has extensive experience providing surgical treatment for non-healing wounds and as medical director of the Wound Care Center, he will play a major role in insuring high standards of quality in our clinical services.
Dr. Monchik will also serve as an important educational resource for wound care clinicians.
Wayne Christiansen, DO

Board certified in Emergency Medicine, Dr. Christiansen earned his Medical Degree from the College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Iowa and completed a residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Ky. He is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians.

Ibrahim Eid, MD

A graduate of the American University of Beirut School of Medicine, Dr. Eid completed a residency in internal medicine at New York University Medical Center and a residency in general surgery at the State University of New York at Stony Brook and Brooklyn, N.Y. He also completed a fellowship in vascular surgery at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia.
Dr. Eid introduced minimally invasive vascular surgery to the area and proctored vascular surgeons who were training in these skills. He is board certified in both general surgery and vascular surgery.
Dr. Eid has published extensively on a number of topics concerning vascular surgery. His expertise includes carotid artery surgery and stenting, treatment of abdominal aneurysms, varicose veins, laser surgery and uterine fibroid embolization.
John Quatromoni, MD

A graduate of Cornell University Medical College, Dr. Quatromoni completed a residency in general surgery at the University of Southern California Medical Center and a fellowship in vascular surgery at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, Ariz.
He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Peripheral Vascular Surgery Society.
Wendy Miller, RN, Clinical Manager
Wendy Miller comes to Southcoast from another community Wound Care Center, where she served as clinical manager. In that role she supervised quality management protocols for the program and also played a major role in infection control and staff education, particularly in the coordination of clinical pathways for wound care services. She also has extensive experience in clinical management in a number of extended care facilities.
