Everything is new about the new surgical wing at Tobey Hospital.

All of the needs of you and your family have been considered in our new state-of-the-art surgical facilities. We have combined new construction with renovation in a well-organized and cost-effective design that enables our staff to provide you with quality care more efficiently.

Our 15,000-square-foot surgery area includes three new operating rooms, a centralized anesthesia delivery system and extensive electronic data ports for the computerized equipment that is vital in today's advanced surgical procedures. One of these rooms is specially designed to provide ample space for the complicated machinery required by vascular surgery.

Tobey's same-day surgery unit has been combined into the surgery wing to increase efficiency and direct access from the hospital's main entrance.

An expanded Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (Recovery Room) better accommodates the complex monitoring and other equipment that post-surgical patients often require. Nurse's stations there allow clear views of all patient beds.

Private, pre-operation and recovery rooms are large enough for your family members to stay with loved ones during these crucial times. And the expanded and comfortable family waiting area includes a consultation room for confidential discussions between physicians and your family members.
