This is home — my community, my friends, my neighbors, my family. We have an amazing staff. I'd trust my life to them.

We can do so much more here now. We have emergency-certified staff with front-line education for anything that comes through the door — cardiac, trauma, neurology and pediatrics.

One day a girl was rushed here with a bad head injury. The neurosurgeon knew she would never make it to Boston. He operated and she survived. A little while later she comes back to see me at the ER, with half her head shaved, and says, "Thank you for saving my life." This is why I love my job.
