On the night shift, we tend to see people with really serious problems — victims of car accidents, violence or illness that can't wait until they could see their doctor.

But we also get new parents bringing in their baby at three in the morning because they're scared ... the baby is running a high fever, or vomiting, and they don't know what to do.

We know what they're going through — we're parents, too — and they know they always have someone to turn to for help, even in the middle of the night.

— Sue Contois, Health Unit Coordinator
Emergency Department, St Luke's Hospital

When people need immediate medical care, they come to the Emergency Department at St. Luke's Hospital.

We're here for you 24 hours a day, every day.

We see all kinds of problems — sometimes all at once — and provide the best care possible for everyone who comes through our doors.
