A New Emergency Department
The St. Luke's Emergency Department was built to treat 55,000 patients annually. Yet we're now serving some 73,000 patients a year — and demand is growing.
You tell us St. Luke's provides great care, but you want it faster.
If you need hospitalization, there's a better than 50/50 chance you'll be treated in the ED first. And because we're here 24/7, people use us 24/7 — often because they cannot get in to see their own doctor.
The New Bedford region has only one source for around-the-clock emergency care: St. Luke's. We don't keep office hours. We operate every hour of every day of the year.
