David Chan-Yeol Bae, MD

David Chan-Yeol Bae, MD

  • Dr. Bae earned a Master's Degree in Neurobiology and a Medical Degree from Brown University Medical School.

  • He completed a residency in Urology at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence where he also completed a research fellowship in Urology and Men's Health.

  • Dr. Bae has specialized training in laparoscopic urological surgery including extensive training with the da Vinci robotic system.

  • He also has particular interest and, advanced training in the use of lasers in prostate surgery, including the latest Green Light XPS laser system for benign prostate enlargement.

  • Dr. Bae is board certified in Urology.

John Carroll, MD

John Carroll, MD

  • Dr. Carroll is co-Chief of Urology for Southcoast Hospitals.

  • He earned his Medical Degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. He completed an internship and residencies in Surgery and Urology at New England Medical Center in Boston, where he served as chief resident in Urology.

  • He has special interest and expertise in urologic oncology, urolithiasis and pediatric urology and women's incontinence. He has extensive experience in laparoscopic urology procedures.

  • He is an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Urology at Tufts University School of Medicine where he has received an "Excellence in Teaching" award.

  • He is a diplomate of the American Board of Urology and a member of the American Urological Association.

John Kaiser, MD

John Kaiser, MD

  • Dr. Kaiser earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo.

  • He completed a general surgical internship and one year of residency at the Deaconess Hospital in Buffalo as well.

  • His urologic residency was at the University of Connecticut in Hartford. He was on the surgical staff of Cornell's New York Hospital while he completed a urologic oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.

  • Dr. Kaiser was Chief of Urology at Fort McPherson-Army Hospital in Atlanta prior to beginning his urologic practice in Fall River.

  • Dr. Kaiser is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Patrick Kelty, MD

Patrick Kelty, MD

  • Dr. Kelty received his Doctor of Medicine from Georgetown University, School of Medicine.

  • He completed a surgical internship with the National Naval Medical Center where he also completed a residency in urology.

  • He has special interests in male and female incontinence, perineal surgery and prostatectomy, kidney stone disease and kidney tumors.

  • Dr. Kelty has extensive experience with male slings for incontinence procedures.

  • Dr. Kelty is a member of the American Urological Association and American Society for Lasers in Medicine. He served as president of the RI Urologic Society and was previously a clinical assistant professor of Urology and Surgery at Brown University Medical School.

  • Dr. Kelty is a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology.

Dennis La Rock, MD

Dennis La Rock, MD

  • Dr. La Rock is co-Chief of Urology for Southcoast Hospitals and is the Chief of Robotic Surgery.

  • Dr. La Rock was the first surgeon at Southcoast Hospitals to perform robotic surgery.

  • He earned his Medical Degree from the Boston University School of Medicine and he completed a general surgery internship and a residency in Urology at New England Medical Center in Boston.

  • He has extensive experience in laparoscopic surgery and has introduced a number of new urological procedures in the Greater Fall River area, including prostate brachytherapy. He has also done research on cryosurgical ablation for prostatecancer.

  • He is an assistant professor at Tufts University School of Medicine where he has received several "Excellence in Teaching" awards.

  • He is board certified in adult and pediatric urology and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology. He is a member of the American Urological Association and the Massachusetts Association of Practicing Urologists.
