Robert P. Millen, FACHE, served as the Chief Operating Officer of Southcoast Hospitals Group, a subsidiary of Southcoast Health System, until March 2004. He is now COO of OhioHealth, based in Columbus, Ohio.

Millen joined St. Luke's Hospital in March 1995 as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.

Prior to joining St. Luke's, Millen worked for St. Charles and Mercy Hospitals in northwest Ohio in several capacities, including Senior Vice President for Network Development with responsibility as second-in-command for a four hospital regional system. He also served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of St. Charles Hospital, Corporate Vice President and Vice President for Market Development.

Millen also worked at St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio, serving as Director of Industrial Medicine, Director of Division Management.

Millen received his bachelor of science degree in chemistry and biology as well as masters degrees in Business Administration and Public Health from the University of Toledo.

He has been awarded fellowship by the American College of Healthcare Executives. One of the ACHE's highest honors, the award demonstrates significant and enduring commitment to maintaining a high level of professionalism in health care management.

He is also a diplomate of the American College of Health Care Executives, American Hospital Association and the American College of Health Care Marketing. He is also on the board of directors of the New Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce.
