We provide a goal oriented positive approach, close communication with all parties and thorough follow-through in each case.
Return to a Productive Lifestyle
The Hand Therapy Team enables individuals to return to a productive lifestyle.
The Hand Therapy program staff consists of Certified Hand Therapists, Occupational and Physical Therapists working as a team to provide the following benefits:
- Rapid return to prior level of function in ADL (activities of daily living) or work duties
- Enhanced functional outcomes
- Promotion of patient independence in injury management.
This progressive team is dedicated to continuing education. A majority of the staff are members of the American Society of Hand Therapists. Each therapist completes an intensive Hand Therapy Specialty Competency Program prior to joining the team. These competencies are constantly monitored and updated annually to insure our therapists remain at the top of the hand therapy field.

- American Society of Hand Therapists Meeting, Toronto
- Surgery and Rehabilitation of the Hand Conference, Philadelphia
- Hands On Tendon Trauma Conference, Las Vegas
Each therapist also keeps in close contact with area orthopedic, plastic, and hand surgeons. Many therapists spend time in the physician's offices and/or mentor with physicians in the Southcoast and Boston areas to continually improve their skills. This close communication with physicians' enhances the functional outcomes of surgical and non-surgical diagnoses including:
