Since 1987, Southcoast Occupational Health's primary mission has been to meet the occupational health needs of business and industry in Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
Our program is based on keeping workers healthy, providing pre-employment screenings, employee wellness training, injury management and follow-up treatment.

The mission of Southcoast Hospitals Group Occupational Health is to provide a broad spectrum of services, partnering with the business community and their affiliates. We provide these services directly or through a collaborative network of Southcoast Health System resources.
We quickly respond to our customer's changing needs through open communication and delivery of quality programs for prevention, regulatory compliance, safety education, injury management, and rehabilitation.
Our team of expert and efficient professionals strives to maintain the employee health and safety for our community businesses, thereby reducing company costs and improving the quality of life for their workers.

Dr. Mirani is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation and is also subspecialty board certified in pain management. He joined Southcoast from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Ky., where he served as assistant professor for the department of physical medicine and rehabilitation. He also served as medical director for the University of Kentucky Outpatient Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Clinic in addition to serving as medical director for the Brain Injury Program for the Carl D. Perkins Comprehensive Rehabilitation Program in Thelma, Ky.
A graduate of the University of the Philippines, Metro-Manila, Dr. Mirani received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of the East UERMMMC College of Medicine Metro-Manila, Philippines. He completed an internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, and his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Wayne State University College of Medicine in Detroit.
He has presented on numerous topics relevant to pain management, myofascial pain, worker's compensation issues, and the physical evaluation of the geriatric patient. Dr. Mirani is a member of the American Academy of Pain Medicine, a fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and a member of the Physiatric Association of Spine, Sports and Occupational Rehabilitation.
Dr. Mirani practices at the Occupational Health Clinics at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River and St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford. He is also part of the medical practice of Southeast Rehabilitation Associates in Fall River and North Dartmouth.
