Southcoast's "Take a Walk with a Southcoast Doc" monthly walking program scheduled for March 29

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. - The March edition of Southcoast® Health System’s “Take a Walk with a Southcoast Doc” will take place on Saturday, March 29, at 10 a.m., at the Southcoast Centers for Cancer Care in Fairhaven located at 206 Mill Road.

The community is invited to join medical oncologist, Susan J. Kim, MD, for a half hour walk which will explore the trails and gardens surrounding the Southcoast Centers for Cancer Care in Fairhaven. All ages and levels of walking ability are welcome.

Southcoast Centers for Cancer Care located in Fall River and Fairhaven feature the latest technology in radiation therapy and medical oncology and offers patients a seamless continuum of care throughout Southcoast Health System that not only supports patients’ medical needs, but also their emotional and social needs. Highlights of the state of the art facilities include the very latest technology in radiation therapy and medical oncology, advanced diagnostic imaging, fully electronic health records, and spacious semi-private infusion bays.

Participants of the walk will receive a free pedometer and “Better Health Kits” that include information on nutrition and exercise. Registration is encouraged.
