Southcoast Physicians Group Buttonwood practice now seeing patients at the new Southcoast Center for Primary and Specialty Care in Fairhaven
FAIRHAVEN, Mass. - Southcoast® Physicians Group Buttonwood practice has relocated to the new Southcoast Center for Primary and Specialty Care medical office building in Fairhaven, providing primary care services to patients in the new location as of September 16.
Internists Kristin L. Anderson, MD; Gary A. Grosart, MD; Ansi Pillai, MD; John J. Podkowa Jr., DO; Rashmi Sharma, MD; and Dilma H. Silva, MD, are now seeing patients at the new two-story, 61,000 square-foot facility located at 208 Mill Road in Fairhaven.
The Southcoast Center for Primary and Specialty Care is adjacent to Southcoast Centers for Cancer Care and provides a much needed expansion of health care services to the community with a greater emphasis on prevention and treating patients before they become acutely ill.
The facility includes an urgent care center that operates seven days a week walk-in care and brings together some 40 primary and specialty physicians including specialists in general surgery, thoracic surgery, colorectal surgery, cardiology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, nephrology, pulmonology, dermatology and urology.
Other primary care physicians located in the center include family practice physician Joseph A. Costa, DO; pediatrician and internist David S. Chesney, MD; pediatrician and internist Michael R. Kelly, MD; and family practice physician Drew L. Nahigyan, MD.
The new center also includes comprehensive outpatient laboratory, radiology and cardiac testing services include X-ray, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, bone densitometry/dual energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) scanning, electrocardiogram (EKG), Holter monitoring, pulmonary function testing, and echocardiology.
The Southcoast Pharmacy is located onsite, offering the community a complete inventory of medications at competitive prices and is staffed by experienced pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. Over-the-counter medications and personal health care items are also available.
The Southeastern Regional Transit Authority (SRTA) has added a bus stop at Southcoast Center for Primary and Specialty Care providing passengers access the new center by way of public transportation via the existing Fairhaven Route 11.
