Boston Children's pediatrician, Sara Gonzalez, DO, joins Southcoast Pediatric Services at St. Luke's Hospital


NEW BEDFORD, Mass. - Southcoast® Health System and Boston Children's Hospital today announced that Boston Children’s pediatrician, Sara Gonzalez, DO, has joined Southcoast Pediatric Services at St. Luke’s Hospital.

Dr. Gonzalez received her bachelor of science in neuroscience and philosophy from the University of Scranton in Scranton, Pa. She received her doctorate degree in osteopathic medicine (DO) from Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Vallejo, Calif. Dr. Gonzalez completed an internship and residency in pediatrics at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pa., and completed a global pediatric fellowship in health service delivery at Boston Children’s Hospital in Boston and with Partners in Health in Saint Marc, Haiti.

Dr. Gonzalez is board certified in pediatrics. She has special interest in global health and speaks both English and Haitian Creole.
