Southcoast Health System and HealthFirst Family Care Center to host a Celebration of Women's Health on August 21

FALL RIVER, Mass. - Southcoast®Health System and HealthFirst Family Care Center will host a "Celebration of Women’s Health" on Wednesday, August 21, from 4 to 6 p.m. Women are invited to attend, and are encouraged to bring their female relatives and friends, to this free event.

The event will feature a 5:30 p.m. presentation on Breast Health lead by Elizabeth Blanchard, MD, Medical Oncologist and Director of the Clinical Trials Program at Southcoast Centers for Cancer Care.

The event will also include screenings and educational materials offered by the Southcoast Health Van including a skin safety analysis; information on women and heart disease provided by the Southcoast Cardiac Prevention Team and HealthFirst staff; chair massages; Southcoast Radiology Imaging Services; patient navigation; healthy cooking demonstrations; diabetes management information provided by HealthFirst Certified Diabetes Educators; and smoking cessation information. Light refreshments will be served.
