Southcoast Health System and Bayside YMCA present "Partnering for a Healthy East Bay," a healthy living series
May 16 program will focus on skin safety, sun prevention and melanoma
The free health education programs are designed to help you make healthier decisions and support your well-being.
The May health education program, "Skin Safety, Sun Prevention and Melanoma," will take place on Thursday, May 16, at 5:30 p.m. at the Barrington Public Library, 281 County Road in Barrington, R.I.
Join Sue Oliveria, RN, BSN, MSM, for a free skin analysis to screen individuals for sun damage and share techniques for prevention. Beth Herrick, MD, radiation oncologist and Medical Director of Radiation Oncology for Southcoast Centers for Cancer Care, will discuss the potential dangers of over-exposure to the sun including melanoma and skin cancer.
