St. Luke's Hospital to host free Car Seat Safety Check on April 6

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. — St. Luke's Hospital, part of Southcoast™ Health System, will host a free Car Seat Safety Check event at St. Luke's Hospital on Saturday, April 6.

The public is invited to have their child's car seat checked at no cost. Certified child passenger safety technicians from St. Luke's and from the Injury Prevention Center at Rhode Island Hospital will teach attendees how to properly install car seats in their vehicle and provide education on child passenger safety and seat belt use.

The Car Seat Safety Check will be held on Saturday, April 6, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the St. Luke's parking lot the corner of Hawthorn and Page Streets. Registration is recommended, but walk-ins are welcome. To register, please call the Southcoast Wellness Line at 1-800-497-1727.
