March 21 program will focus on colorectal cancer — prevention, screening and treatment
The free health education programs are designed to help you make healthier decisions and support your well-being.
The March health education program "Colorectal Cancer — prevention, screening and treatment," will take place on Thursday, March 21, at 5:30 p.m., at the Barrington Public Library, 281 County Road in Barrington.
Tushar Kumar, MD, radiation oncologist at Southcoast Centers for Cancer Care, will discuss what colorectal cancer is and some strategies for prevention. He will share the signs and symptoms of colorectal cancer and talk with you about current screening recommendations. Dr. Kumar will also discuss different treatment options and answer any questions the audience may have.
