Urology Inc. joins Southcoast Physicians Group
FALL RIVER, Mass. — Urology Inc. announced today it has joined Southcoast™ Physicians Group, one of the largest networks of primary and specialty care physicians in the region, and part of Southcoast Health System. The urology practice includes David Bae, MD; John Carroll, MD; John Kaiser, MD; Patrick Kelty, MD, and Dennis La Rock, MD.
As part of its merger into Southcoast Physicians Group, Urology Inc. will now be recognized as Southcoast Urology. The transition to Southcoast Urology will be seamless for patients, requiring no action on their part.
With more than 35 years in practice in the Fall River community, Southcoast Urology will continue to offer patients the same array of advanced clinical services and specialties. Specialty services offered include adult and pediatric urology, urologic oncology, male and female incontinence, robotic and laparoscopic procedures and kidney stones and disease.

David Bae, MD

Dr. Bae has specialized training in laparoscopic urological surgery including extensive training with the daVinci robotic system. He also has advanced training in the use of lasers in prostate surgery, including the latest Green Light XPS laser system for benign prostate enlargement.
Dr. Bae is board certified in Urology.
John Carroll, MD

Dr. Carroll earned his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. He completed an internship and residencies in surgery and urology at New England Medical Center in Boston, where he served as chief resident in urology.
Dr. Carroll received an "Excellence in Teaching" award from Tufts University School of Medicine where he is an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Urology. He is also a Diplomate on the American Board of Urology and a member of the American Urological Association.
John Kaiser, MD

Dr. Kaiser completed his urologic residency at the University of Connecticut in Hartford, Conn. He was on the on the surgical staff of Cornell's New York Hospital in New York City while he completed a urologic oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, also in New York City. Prior to beginning his urologic practice in Fall River, Dr. Kaiser was Chief of Urology at Fort McPherson-Army Hospital in Atlanta.
Dr. Kaiser is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Patrick Kelty, MD

Dr. Kelty has special interests in male and female incontinence; perineal surgery and prostatectomy; kidney stone disease; and kidney tumors. He has extensive experience with male slings for incontinence procedures.
Dr. Kelty is a member of the American Urological Association and American Society for Lasers in Medicine. He is also a diplomate of the American Board of Urology.
Dennis La Rock, MD

Dr. La Rock has extensive experience in laparoscopic surgery and has introduced new urological procedures in the Fall River area, including prostate brachytherapy. He has also done research on cryosurgical ablation for prostate cancer. Dr. La Rock is an assistant professor at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston where he has received several "Excellence in Teaching" awards.
Dr. La Rock is board certified in adult and pediatric urology and is a diplomate of the American Board of Urology. He is a member of the American Urological Association and the Massachusetts Association of Practicing Urologists.
