Camp Angel Wings will accept registrations beginning April 1

Registration open for two-day bereavement camp to be held on July 13 and 14

FAIRHAVEN, Mass. — Southcoast™ Visiting Nurse Association, known in the community as Southcoast VNA, will host its 10th annual bereavement camp, "Camp Angel Wings," in July. This is an exciting, fun-filled, two-day camp experience for children and teens, ages 6 through 15, who are grieving the loss of a loved one. The camp will be held on July 13 and 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Cathedral Camp for Boys & Girls, 167 Middleboro Road in East Freetown.

Camp Angel Wings incorporates interactive activities including music, swimming, arts and crafts, as a positive way to help campers share their loss, and memorialize loved ones. All activities are designed to reduce feelings of isolation while improving the self-esteem of children and teens who share like experiences in grief.

Camp Angel Wings is free for all campers, but space is limited and registration is required. Applications to attend Camp Angel Wings will be accepting online beginning on April 1. Please visit www.southcoast.org/campangelwings/ for more information. Applications should be submitted as soon as possible as space is limited. The deadline for registration is June 9. A separate application will need to be completed for each camper. Applicants will receive notification of acceptance or a request for additional information after the application is reviewed.
