Gary Conner named CFO for Southcoast Health System

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. — Southcoast™ Health System has named Gary F. Conner as Chief Financial Officer. In his new role, Conner is responsible for overseeing and guiding the financial performance and financial operations of Southcoast Health System and its subsidiaries.

Before joining Southcoast, Conner was CFO at City of Hope Cancer Center in Duarte, Calif., where he was responsible for all areas of corporate finance and financial operations for the organization, which includes Helford Medical Center, Beckman Research Institute, a philanthropic entity and a newly formed medical foundation. Conner previously held the position of Vice President of Financial Operations for Catholic Healthcare West in Pasadena, Calif.

Conner received a Master in Business Administration from Sonoma State University in Rhonert Park, Calif., and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from the California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, Calif. He currently serves as a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and previously served as a member of the City of Hope Medical Foundation Board of Directors and the San Gabriel Valley Economics Partnership. Conner is the recipient of the Catholic Healthcare West Values in Action Award and the Columbia/HCA Chairman's Award.

Conner resides in Kingston with his wife, Nina.
