W. Scott Keigwin, DO, joins Southcoast Physicians Group

TIVERTON, R.I. — Southcoast Health System has announced that family practice physician, W. Scott Keigwin, DO, has joined Southcoast Physicians Group and will see patients at Tiverton Family Medicine, 1334 Main Road in Tiverton, R.I.

Dr. Keigwin received his doctor of osteopathic medicine from Kansas City University in Kansas City, Mo. He completed his residency at Dartmouth Family Practice Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H., and Augusta, Maine, and his internship at Lutheran Medical Center in New York City. He is certified by the American Board of Family Practice.

Dr. Keigwin is an Associate Professor at the Alpert Medical School at Brown University in Providence, R.I. He was the Medical Director of Hospice at Visiting Nurse Services of Newport and Bristol Counties. He is also a member of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Care and certified in medical acupuncture. He has served as Hospice Medical Director for 12 years.

Dr. Keigwin has been practicing in Tiverton for more than 18 years. He is accepting new patients and will offer walk-in hours and evening appointments. For appointments call 401-625-5552.
