Tobey Hospital Guild will host "An Evening of Doo-Wop"
Proceeds to help purchase new patient equipment for Tobey Hospital

The theme of this year's event is "An Evening of Doo-Wop" with entertainment provided by the Tune Weavers, well known for their top hit, "Happy, Happy Birthday Baby." In true doo-wop style, dancing will be optional.
The event will kick off with hors d'oeuvres beginning at 6 p.m. and will take place at White's of Westport, 66 State Road in Westport. Tickets are $100 per person and must be purchased in advance by calling 508-961-5752 ($60 of the ticket price is tax deductible). Hors d'oeuvres will include international cheese and crackers, golden calamari, a pizza station, Italian bruschetta, coconut chicken, and pork tenderloin, paired with a wine selection. Dinner will include a garden salad with oven roasted sliced tenderloin of beef and Maryland crab cakes paired with a wine selection. Dessert will include New York style cheesecake with fresh blueberries paired with a wine selection. Wine for the event has been donated by The Jug Shop in Wareham, Sullivan Wine & Spirits in Wareham and The Butcher Shop in New Bedford.
The event will also feature a live and silent auction.
The Guild has pledged $100,000 to purchase patient equipment for Tobey Hospital. Proceeds from this event will help honor this pledge. Today's technology is forever changing and the Guild is pleased to be able to help update equipment for Tobey Hospital patients.
About the Tobey Hospital Guild
The Tobey Hospital Guild is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to render service to Tobey Hospital, its tax-exempt subsidiaries, its patients and to assist in promoting the health and welfare of the community. The Guild raises money throughout the year by hosting various fundraisers. They also run the Tobey hospital gift shop with all proceeds going toward Tobey Hospital.
